Q: I found my child hanging - he/she wasn't depressed - now
he/she has passed away- I don't know what to do.
A: You and your family are not alone. There are many, many
people across the nation who have stood in a very similar
position of being scared, confused, and horrified. We are here
for you by email, telephone and if we're close enough, even in
person. The only part you have to do alone is reach out - after
that, you'll have an entire network of support on your side.
Q: My child was killed playing the Choking Game but it was ruled
as suicide? I know it wasn't - what can I do?
A: You also are not alone. Many Medical Examiners (Coroners)
and Law Enforcement Investigators are just now learning about
Accidental Asphyxia in our Youth and your child's case may be
their first. Educate them! Above all, gather any and all pertinent
information you can find both on this site and else where into a
scheduled meeting. Talk to the people who knew your child - if
they know of The Choking Game- chances are you child did too.
Q: I want to schedule a Presentation for my group - who do I contact?
A: Due to the high demand of presentation requests across the
country, Kate Blake has extended availability to include all of the
United States. There is no fee beyond travel costs to the venue
but donations to The DB Foundation are greatly appreciated and
go directly towards Raising Awareness and Education.
Q: How can I get involved in raising awareness for the Choking
Game?
A: There are many ways to become an active part of raising
awareness, below are a few very simple ways:
1.) Schedule a presentation for your local PTO/PTA, church group

Q: Can I add a friend or relative to the Databank of Accidental
Asphyxia Victims?
A: For confidentiality and accuracy of the list, information may only
be submitted by immediate family members with three pieces
of crucial information; Age/Gender, Name, Date of incident.
Q: Where can I get materials to present to my school system?
A: Check the DOWNLOADS page. Or you can reference the site in
a conversation with the Administration of your school and they
can view the facts directly from the site. This is helpful as it is
often then quickly distributed to school personnel via email.
Q: I just 'played' the Choking Game and now I have after effects - what should I do?
A: IMMEDIATELY SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION!
